MULLIGAN'S FANCY musicians first came together at Thursday night seisiuns at Mulligan’s Tavern in Westborough, Massachusetts.  They were having so much fun together that they struck out on their own, and have become increasingly popular in a relatively short time.

The members include:

Dick Topping has a vast repertoire of Irish music with a special appreciation of the marvelous talents of Tommy Makem. He does fine renditions of many of Tommy’s songs and that in and of itself is quite an accomplishment. But more than that when he sings he captures the essence and the sentiment the composer intended. A jazz guitarist, banjo player and our technical engineer—a man of many and varied talents.
Bob Griffin is a long time play by ear guitar player who loves all kinds of music, but especially Irish. He has sung in a Barbershop Quartet for over 25 years. The same four guys, the River City All Stars, sang all over the country and on five cruises (three on the QEII) and were even in a motion picture with Ryan O’Neil and Ray Milland. But now he's back to the roots with Mulligan’s Fancy and having a great time.
Linda Wade has a varied musical background that includes playing and performing in folk, Renaissance, Baroque, and Irish music ensembles. Her primary focus has been playing various wind instruments (recorder, Baroque flute, Irish flute, whistles) but recently added the concertina to the mix. Linda attends many local Irish sessions and is also in another band, Traditional Brew, that performs Celtic and other traditional tunes and songs.
Theresa Gerene has a broad musical past that she brings to the band through vocals and fiddle. Trained as a classical viola player, she also plays electric bas and has performed on cruise ships, served in the Navy Band, was a member of rock and country bands in Wisconsin, and toured and recorded with Ray Stevens. Her interest in irish music grew as she met musicians from Mulligan's in Westborough and other local sessions.
